Showday is a ticketing platform operated by Showday Tickets LTD, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17168332. We connect event promoters directly with ticket buyers. When you purchase a ticket through Showday, you are buying directly from the event promoter. Showday acts as the technology and payment processing partner — we are not the event organiser. Separate Promoter Terms apply to anyone who uses Showday to sell tickets; our Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone.
All ticket prices shown on Showday are all-inclusive. The price you see is the price you pay — there are no hidden fees added at checkout. By completing a purchase, you agree to pay the full amount displayed and acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on Showday's servers. You will receive an email confirmation and e-ticket immediately after a successful payment.
Your e-ticket will be delivered to the email address you provide at checkout. Each ticket contains a unique QR code that will be scanned at the venue door. You can also access your ticket at any time by visiting showday.co.uk/ticket.html and entering your order reference and email address. Do not share your QR code — it can only be scanned once.
All sales are final unless an event is cancelled or significantly rescheduled by the promoter. If an event is cancelled, you will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. If an event is rescheduled, the promoter may offer refunds at their discretion. Showday does not issue refunds for change of mind, inability to attend, or failure to meet age or entry requirements set by the venue.
No 14-day cooling-off period. By completing a purchase you acknowledge and agree that the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply to tickets for live events — this is the specific statutory exemption under Regulation 28(1)(h) of those Regulations. Your statutory rights in the event of cancellation, significant change, or non-performance by the promoter are not affected by this clause.
Event details such as lineup, timings, venue, and support acts may be subject to change by the promoter. Such changes do not automatically entitle you to a refund. If a change is significant (for example, a change of headliner, date, or venue city), the promoter will notify ticket holders and may offer refunds.
Some events carry age restrictions set by the promoter or venue. It is your responsibility to check the age requirement before purchasing. If you are refused entry due to not meeting the age restriction, you are not entitled to a refund.
Tickets purchased through Showday may be resold only through Showday's official resale feature, and only at face value — meaning the total ticket price you paid at the point of purchase, including any booking-fee component displayed at checkout.
When you list a ticket for resale on Showday:
Cross-listing across the Showday network. Showday Tickets LTD operates a network of consumer-facing ticketing websites (for example, showday.co.uk and any sister sites operated by us from time to time, collectively the "Showday Network"), all of which share a single ticket inventory and order system. By listing a ticket for resale on any site within the Showday Network, you grant Showday Tickets LTD a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, for the duration of the listing, to display, promote, market and facilitate the sale of that ticket on any other site within the Showday Network, including through any associated widgets, partner integrations, search results and marketing channels. The listing will appear on the same terms everywhere it is displayed: the face value you set, the event details, and the restrictions in this section 8 apply identically on every site. A sale on any site within the Network fulfils your listing across the entire Network — the ticket is immediately delisted everywhere, and the proceeds are paid to you once, via the same payout method, on the same terms, irrespective of which site the buyer used. You may withdraw the listing at any time before it sells by cancelling it on any Showday Network site; withdrawal takes effect across the Network simultaneously. This cross-listing permission is limited to resale listings you voluntarily create and does not authorise any other use of your data or ticket beyond what is set out in these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Reselling a Showday ticket on any unauthorised third-party platform (including but not limited to Viagogo, StubHub, social media, classifieds, or private bank transfers) is a material breach of these terms. Where a breach occurs, Showday and the promoter may, without notice and without refund:
Showday provides the ticketing technology and payment processing. The event promoter is responsible for the event itself — safety, access, entertainment, licensing, compliance with local regulations, and delivering what was advertised. Showday is not the event organiser and has no operational control over the event on the day.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any other matter for which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any ticket purchase — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise — is limited to the total amount you paid for the ticket(s) to which the claim relates. We will not be liable for loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, travel or accommodation costs, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from attendance (or inability to attend) an event.
Showday is not liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, our obligations under these terms where the failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include, without limitation: severe weather, fire or flood; pandemic, epidemic or public health emergency; strike or industrial action; war, terrorism or civil unrest; acts of government; and outages of the internet, electricity, telecommunications, cloud hosting, or third-party payment providers.
If such an event prevents an event from going ahead, the refund rules in section 5 continue to apply — your right to a refund where the promoter cancels or significantly reschedules is not affected by this clause. This section protects Showday's own delivery obligations (for example, if our platform is temporarily unavailable), not the promoter's obligation to deliver the event for which you bought a ticket.
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or your ticket purchase, are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. The courts of Northern Ireland will have jurisdiction to determine any dispute.
If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom (England, Wales or Scotland) or the Republic of Ireland, nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of your place of residence, and you will also have the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules of your home jurisdiction.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect your name, email, and payment details solely to process your ticket purchase and deliver your e-ticket. We do not sell your data to third parties. The event promoter will receive your name and email for event management purposes.
If you have any questions about your order or these terms, contact us at hello@showday.co.uk. Formal legal notices should be sent to legal@showday.co.uk with "Legal Notice" in the subject line.
